Surnames: Osadczuc
Hi we are in Canada who are you exactly looking for? My grandma always talked about the Osadczuc's that lived in the Ukraine specifically related to her mother Maria Chapko. They went to Argentina and there was a cousin's husband who was a seaman who met Miiroslav Osadczuc and was taken to his house.. he talked of my grandmother Xhartena Chapko his cousin. Are you related to Marcio? I found him on ICQ but we have a language barrier , if you are tell him that I will send three pictures to you people. My mom's name is Walentyna Alexeyevna Waskowec. Her father's name was Alexy Waskowec. THey were supposed to travel to Argentina to live but my Uncle Vasyl fell ill with Scarlet Fever. They couldn't meet the boat. They had to stay in Gdinnia until the kids were better. THen they got a message from Canada from one of their old neighbours that had immigrated to Alberta Canada. Aleksiuks and Lutz's. They farmsteaded for 10 years until they went to Ontario.

Please notify me ASAP.

I have pictures that I had sent to Marcio of people who were Osadczuc's in Saskatchewan but were from the same area.

The village where my grandma was born was Pidseniwka, Staravezhiwska rayon, Volynska Oblast. my grandma's mom is burried in Pidseniwka. My grandmother's father's name was Leontie Mironivich Chapko. My grandmother's grandpa's name was Miron Chapko.

Surnames: Mochechuk (Moczyczyk)
Hello! I don't know if you are still following this thread that I came across on Google. Anyway, I am related to both the Aleksiuks and Lutzes from Alberta. My one aunt, Anna Mochechuk (Ukrainian spelling Moczyczyk) married Mike Lutz (they changed their name to Luc sometime in the late 1950s or early 1960s.). My other aunt, Aleksandra Mochechuk, married Bill Aleksiuk. Both of my aunts had large families and thus have many descendants. The families came from the area around Kowal in Ukraine. Mike and Anna emigrated to Canada in the mid 1920s and Bill and Aleksandra in 1939, accompanied by my grandparents and my mother, who was 10 years old at the time. Is there any kind of family connection between us? I have had little luck finding out anything about my mom's family. Thanks for any leads you can provide.

Hello!!! I am from Ukraine, I was born in Kovel !!!! My deceased grandfarther told me about his sister who had left a small village near Kovel (north-western Ukraine) before the 2 World War and went to Canada. Unfortunately I don't remember her first name, but her second name was definitely "Mochuchyk" (or Мочичук in Ukrainian).

My grandmother's name was Fedora Kachka and her husband was Nikolai Mochechuk (Moczyczyk). They had three daughters who survived to adulthood, as well as a number of children who died in childhood.

We may well be distant relatives :)
As long as currently I'm not living in Kovel, I have asked my aunt who lives there to find out any information she can about the Mochychuks who lived in the village Miltsi (near Kovel) and moved to Canada. I guess your family comes from this village. As soon as my aunt finds out something, I'll write you here.

That would be wonderful. Apart from the family here in Canada, I don't know anyone on my mother's side.
