Hi. I didn't even look to see how old this message was but I wanted to tell you that my husband's maternal great-grandmother was an Osada and she was from the Prussian region. I have found little information other then the name Osada meant town in Prussian. There are also reports of Osada being a Japanese name. Best of luck on your search.

Osada is also my Grandmother's maiden name. Her family were also from Prussia. The name went through many versions over two centuries. The earliest, Ozadowski, then Orzada, Oczada, Ozada and then Osada. My Grandmother's family settled in Western New York.

It's Japanese. I have an Aunt with that surname. 長田 is one of the possible kanjis.

My family were German speaking from Prussia. The area of their origin is now northwest Poland.
