My mother's maiden name is Orth and her father, Benedict Cyril Orth, came from the St. Cloud area of Minnesota. His parents were Peter and Margarethe Orth. Grandpa was probably born in about 1907-8 and died in 1969-70. I don't think he had much contact with his family, but two or three of his sisters were nuns in the convent in Little Falls, MN.

I grew up with a friend named Orth. His father's name is Gary and we came from St. Cloud, MN. I just contacted him and gave him your address. Supposedly his dad has a book on the Orth clan. If he does not respond, e-mail me and I will ask him to look.

I am looking for Orth 's. Adam John Orth Born about @ January 16 1874 - 1876. He had three brothers - Nicholas Jacob and Johannes. Johannes died while an infant. Their mother remarried Wilhelm Grams. Let me know if any of this helps. Adam married Magdalina Knott.

Census records indicate she was born about 1843 came to the U.S. from Germany in 1857. She married Gerhard Ebben about 1861. Am trying to find out who her parents and siblings were.
