Hi. I know of three O'Rourke families that lived/farmed
near the Burlinton/Hampshire area around 1865-70 period.
1) My G-Grandparents were Daniel and Bridget Collins O'Rourke. They moved to Plato, Il. from NY around 1867.
They eventually moved/settled in the Marengo area(Union, Il.) and began a dairy operation. There children were
James Steven, Daniel, Alice, Mary Ellen, Agnes, and
Anna.


2) James O'Rourke also from Plato area around the
same time before moving to Elgin, Il.. He married
Mary McQueeny from Elgin. Their children were Gertrude,
Leo, Frank, Manus, and Marie.
3) Thomas O'Rourke, also from Plato, was son of Patrick and Sarah O'Rourke from the Hampshire, Il. area. Thomas siblings were James, Daniel, and Mary.

If anyone has any information on any of the three O'Rourke families or any connection bewteen Bridget O'Rourke Kerwin
and Daniel O'Rourke - Would Greatly appreciate hearing from you.
