How I got to this page is a long story and I don't expect replies from an old thread, but I thought it might be helpful to someone if I state that I think my father in law, Steve Orach, is from Hazleton PA also, and a member of the Lutheran church in Gorham, Maine. His sister, Anna, still live in that PA area. My guess it that he was born somewhere around 1924.

My Husband Kevin was born on 2/8/54 at Morrisania Hospital in N.Y. and adopted from the New York Foundling home. He found out his last name was Orach and he will be in Croatia and wanted to look up some history. He has not been able to find his family. Do you know how I can get help?

I believe the name is Slovakian but I don't know much more about it.
