My grandmother is Catherine O'Mailia O'Dell from Buffalo NY. My uncle is "Digger". He got the name from his Uncle! This is amazing. I received a reponse to a posting and I am reading all the old messages regarding James J. O'Mailia.

If you have any questions you like to to ask my Grandma let me know. My mom is Ann O'Dell.

My Grandma Catherine has another sister from her dad's second marriage. Her name is Laura Jean and she lives in Ohio.

Just read this message. I am printing them for my Grandma Catherine O'Mailia O'Dell. My Grandma doesn't have any information about her mother or father James J. O'Mailia. My Grandma was born in WV. Any info you have about her father would be much appreciated.

Jim O'Dell Jr "Digger" is my uncle. We all call him Uncle Digger :>. Gram still lives in Lackawanna NY along with her daughters Mary, Ann and Cathy and Uncle Dig. I believe that Uncle Digger got the name from Grandfather's brother Jack. Are you still looking for the geneology of Black Jack and Digger? I can ask Gram for you.

My family visits Aunt Mary Agnes quite often in LA.

Hi Jennifer. My husband, "Jimmy" (as his family affectionately calls him) says "Hi!" to his cousin and your mom, Ann - and to Digger and Aunt Catherine, too. More history later, as time will allow. See ya! Cheri

My Grandfather's brother was a James O'Mailia who lived in Wheeling W. VA area. My Grandfather and he had another brother (older I believe),a Jesuit Priest who landed at Ellis Island in NewYork, coming from Jamaica.

Greetings:

My name is Miles O'Mailia and I grew up in Cleveland and my grandfather's name was Joseph O'Mailia. He had at least two brothers that I know of. the lived for along time in West Virginia, and I recall visiting my Aunt there (she would have been Joe's James' and Miles' sister--her name or nickname was Fannie) He had two brothers at least and one was James and the other was Miles ( a Jesuit Priest). I also know that there was a clan that moved out to Denver and there remains a pool of O'Mailia's in that area and the west coast. I would be delighted to talk with you. My aunt is still alive and is in her 80's. She was Joseph's daughter and she is a wealth of info. You can call me at 800-458-1066 (8 a.m. to 5 p.m EST)
Thanks--Miles O'Mailia

Surnames: O'Mailia Omailia
My Great-Grandmother Ruby was married to James P. O'Mailia (born 1892), who was James J. O'Mailia's (born 1898) cousin. From what I understand, Ruby and James had three girls, Kathleen, Regina and Bernice. Regina is my grandma. They all lived in Colorado. If anyone has any information please e-mail me sb_strobel@yahoo.com. Thank you.
