O Mahony Family of Killarney 1810-1830

My great great grandfather was Peter Paul O Mahony who was born in Killarney, Co. Kerry between 1827 and 1832.

He had a sister called Frances O Mahony and a brother called Patrick.

Patrick was a hatter, and he in turn had a daughter called Frances who lived with Peter Paul O Mahony when she married James Bryant, a widower and son of the gunmaker in Cork 1n 1880.Patrick and his wife had apparently died before Frances (Fanny) married.

Peter Paul O Mahony married Hannah Keating in ss Peter and Pauls Church in Cork on 4th May 1854. Peter died in Cork after the 1901 Census and before the 1911 Census.

Given the above family cluster,i.e. Peter Paul, Patrick, and Frances born between 1808 and 1835 in Killarney, can anybody help me find the Kerry branch please?

There was also a Denis O Mahony and Cornelius O Mahony in the 1830-50 period who were possibly linked to the same family from Killarney.

Other Kerry family members were from the MacGillacuddy family...Florence MacGillacuddy (born in Killarney circa 1808-1810 and he married a Sheehan c. 1836, possibly in Boherbue, Co. Cork. They had a daughter, Maria Mac Gillacuddy, who married a William Hartnett in Cork in 1871.

I have my yDNA results submitted as part of the O Mahony surname DNA project...if there are any Kerry O Mahonys from, or whose ancestors were from, the Killarney area who have not already joined the project perhaps they might consider doing so?.......

Many thanks,

Finbar
