Hi,
My great Grandfather (from somewhere in Cornwall) Immigrated to South Africa sometime during the mid to late 1800's. My grandfather was born in Kimberley in 1886, and at about 14yrs old, moved to Johannesburg. I have heard stories that his family were related to the Lyle family. I am currently living in Dorset UKK. and if anyone knows about Olver's who Immigrated to S.A. during that period, I would like to hear from them. Take care.

Brian.

Would need more than names to link us. Are you in Wales (ws)? Are you in the U.S.? If so, when did they arrive? When/where was Percival born?

My Grandmother weas Florence CLEMMOW who married Henry Thomas OLVER (born 1873). In the early 1900's they went from Cpornwall to South Africa to work in the Mines. Henry's brother also went at the same time but I have no information on his name. In addition Florence's sister, Lillian, also went and married a Christian BRUYNS. The family's home was based in the Ladock area of Cornwall.

Any links between us?

Brian.
