Hi, I know this will sound strange but aftter many years one mystery has been solved only to open new questions.
I have looked for years for information on the death of my Grandmother. Her name was Maggie Elnora Smith. She married Henry Newman and they had my Mother. Soon after Maggie left Henry and her daughter (VC Evelyn). She was know to have been in Corpus Christi area for a while about 1951 living with a man named Charles Moon. This was where I was looking for her.
This week a cousin found one of my postings. She knew my Grandmother! She also had her death date (7/12/1955)and place of death ) Merkel TX>) ! What JOY! Now I find out that the name on her head stone says Maggie E. Olive.
No one seems to know anything about this new twist of events. I am hoping some one here might know. Could my Mother have a brother or sister she knows nothing about? Do any of you have a unaccounted for wife for your Olive named Maggie, Elnora, or Nora? She often went by the nick name Todie too.
Any help or light you can shed would be wonderful!
