I am only five years in responding to your note about Karl Klitten. I am excited to find this note. Just yesterday I looked up the name Klitten on the Internet White Pages and four names appeared - all M or Martin. I called one of the numbers and amazingly, here was Marty Klitten. He was working on a house and couldn't visit about names, etc., but he was interested and I have sent him an e-mail of information and questions.
I am compiling information into a family story of the Olsen's who came from Asdal and Lonstrup, Denmark to Nuckolls County, Nebraska and then spread out to the west of Nebraska. The book is to be titled: Spring Creek Cousins because most of the family lived along Spring Creek when they arrived from Denmark.
I would be interested in corresponding with you and adding your information to the book.
You have answered a question lingering in my mind about Karl Klitten. Thank you! Eugene Oleson's notes tell that he was born in Denmark in 1887 and Martinus and Caroline were married in Warwick, Kansas in 1886. I have two dates of birth for Karl, 1887 and 1889. Do you have the correct date?
