I am descended from Jared OLCOTT (through his daughter Polly), who was b. in 1759 in Hartford County, CT, and m. Mary Cadwell. Jared died at age 87 in Jefferson County, NY, after having lived for many years in Oneida County, NY (Lee Township, I think). Jared evidently served in the American Revolution, as a soldier from CT. Has anyone documented his service?

Any other descendants of Jared out there? He was one of many siblings born in CT, and he had numerous children besides Polly.

To go further: Polly OLCOTT m. Lyman MATTHEWS of the Town of Camden, Oneida Co., NY. Their daughter Delia (b. 1806, I think) m. in 1828 my gggrandfather, Leonard BUDD. Their third son was William George BUDD, whose third wife was Ellen DOYLE and my ggrandmother.
