It is believed that my 5th great grandmother was Deliverance Coates or Olcott, born Oct 19, 1777 in Ct. She was apparently raised by Timothy Olcott who owned land in Northumberland County, Ontario, Canada in the 1790's, but apparently Timothy did not live there at the time, and died in Vermont in the 1790's or early 180's. Deliverance married John Dowling about 1797, lived in Northumberland County, Ontario, then to Niagara County, New York in early 1800's. Deliverance married 2nd, David Wisner in Niagara Co. Deliverance's son, William Dowling (born about 1799 in Canada; married Catherine Hess) ultimately moved to Mendota, La Salle County, Illinois in 1854. Deliverance accompanied him, and died on Dec 4, 1860, and is buried in the Wisner Cemetery, Mendota, La Salle, County, Illinois. Do you have any information on this family by any chance?
