James Olcott had 7 children by his first wife, Lydia Holbrook (m. 30 Aug 1804): an infant, Lucinda, Hannah, Emily, Lydia, Eliza, Mary. He had 2 more children with his second wife Malinda Holbrook (m. 6 May 1830): James and Naomi.
