Patrick, My mother's maiden name was O'Kane - she was from Derry in Northern Ireland. 3 of her uncles came to America and they settled in New York. I have cousins who live on Long Island.

Hi Kathleen, I too am tracing the O'Kane line from Limavady, Derry, although all I know is my grandfathers name was Thomas O'Kane b. abt. 1904 d. abt. 1970-71 in Glasgow, Scotland, he had a sister names Matilda and he married Anne Campbell b. 1926. Can their be a connection? You can email me direct kimcrisford@austarnet.com.au if you'd prefer.

Thanks Kim Crisford (nee O'Kane)

Kevin, going back over some old info and found your email. Do you have access to Irish census/records that could locate an Archibald/bold O'Kane in the Dunglady area around 1850?

Surnames: O'Kanes from Dunglady
Kevin, this is the email I remember receiving from you in regard to my ancestor John O'Kane and his father Archibald from Dunglady. I really haven't found any further information from Ireland since that time. Know nothing about Margaret O'Kane his sister. Would love more info. Any suggestions where to find answers?
