Re: Kenneth and Doreen OIE
Thank you for the reply. Jill was my mother's brother's wife. I never knew the 3 boys. Sad to hear about Paul's passing. My sister recently passed away from cancer, age 66. Jill is also my aunt through my Uncle Ken so I guess that makes us cousins somehow? I live in Vancouver and I am 51 years old. My cousin Nick still lives in the Grimsby area along with my mother's sister, my Aunt Betty... she is still alive I believe and she would be around 86.
I recently found a wedding picture of Aunt Jill and Uncle Ken's wedding. I'm wondering if your mother would have been in the wedding party...

Re: Kenneth and Doreen OIE
Hi I grew up in Waltham near Grimsby, but after University in Nottingham have lived in Yorkshire for 30 years. I do remember Uncle Ken speaking of his sister Betty and her husband David Cleeve. I did meet your cousin Nicholas once at a Grimsby Town football match when we were children! I would expect my mother to be in the wedding photo. She is 4 years younger than Aunty Jill. They had a brother too, Fred, who died in his 40s in an accident overseas whilst in the RAF.

Re: Kenneth and Doreen OIE
Hello again,
I have recently come across a whole bunch of old photos and newspaper clippings that were my mother's (Ken's sister). Just found a clipping re: wedding announcement of Jill (Ruby Daniel) and Kenneth G.Drayton. Is your mother's name Romah? Bride given away by her brother, Mr. Frederick Daniel. Newspaper is dated Monday, April 2, 1945. My father was one of the groomsman.
