Mary, Hello.

I am not sure how much info I have on Catherine. I did speak with Catherine's brother's great-grandson a few years back. (This would be Catherine's brother James Betram. James had a son named Betram James. Betram James had a son, James Joseph. I spoke to James Joseph's son, Michael O'Halloran.) OK, Now that that is clear!!?? Here is what I do have. There is an "Aunt Peg" still alive (as of 2 years ago)who is connected by the above people. It was told that James Betram was an alcoholic who was not too nice to his children. His daughter, Ardith O'Halloran is living with the Beatty's in 1920. I believe Ardith was still alive as of 2 yrs ago.

I have Herman August Hogert who married Catherine Lillian O'Halloran. Herman was German and his parents (Adolph and Amalia) were born in Germany too.

Catherine's sister, Mary L. was my great grandmother. I do have a picture of her I was sent from a distant family friend. I can sent to you to see if there is any family resemblence.

E-mail me at LCR812@wowway.com and we can chat there!

Thanks,

Lisa

Catherine, Mary, James, Frank, Edward, Thomas, Margaret, Charles parents were John O'Halloran and Sara O'Connor. From Ireland. I was not able to get past their. But I did not try too hard.

John the father worked for the railroad as a watchman, conductor. That is probably they were living in Port Huron.

Robert and Adeline Gray are my parents. I am also the grand daughter of Catherine. I was with her when she passed over. I am the oldest of four siblings. Mary Lou is my biological sister. I have many pictures of Catherine in her younger days with her sister..Mary and brother William. Her middle name (on the back of many pics is Louise)
Back of Funeral Holy Card: DOB:1895 DOD:1969
Would appreciate info on Robert Gray...brother Jim has written me......

Holy crap! Your little paragraph has given me a TON of Info I did not have!

First of all, I did not know what Mary L.'s middle name was...so it is Louise!

I did not know when she died...I was told by some distant family members that she died in the early '60's....so that is wrong...It is 1969.

What else does the funeral card say? I was told at some point she was remarried...then again divorced...and had a last of "Walden"....the same above family called her "Grandma Walden"...or they think she may have gone back to her madien name...of O'Halloran.

I would LOVE a copy of Mary L's funeral card and pictures of her with sister and brother. Not sure if you have a scanner and able to send them over on the 'net'...If not I will pay you to have them copied...

E-mail me @ lcr812@wowway.com

I don't know anything on Robert Gray....but I can give it a try....Do you know his parents?...and are they orginially from the Detroit area?

Thanks so much!

Lisa

Catherine's middle name is Louise. Catherine Louise Hogert (Ohalloran)
Mary Lou Gray is the gdaughter of Catherine and my sister. Adeline Hogert (Gray) is our mother. Robert Gray was our father. He is now deceased. Catherine did not remarry after Herman (my gfather) died. She kept her married name of Hogert. Catherine passed over April 14, 1969. She lived in Troy, MI. The funeral was at Hopcroft Funeral Home in Hazel Park, MI.
There seems to be many Ohallorans in Michigan that I was not able to know or meet. I think Mary may be a sister of my grandmother(Catherine) I have heard of Aunt Mary, Aunt Rose and Uncle William from my mother (Adeline) in my younger years. Do you know of these OHalloran's?
Thank you
Roberta
