Hi, just saw these messages. Sarah O'Connor may be the niece of my great grandmother, Mary Brennan. Sarah's mother, Margaret Connors may be Mary Brennan's sister. They were listed living in Stratford, Perth, Canada in the 1861 census record along with a William Brennan, brother? Mary and William had the same parents in their marriage records, John Brennan and Sarah Downs at St. Joseph in Stratford (Wm in 1861 and Mary in 1864) Mary married John Funni and had 3 children. Margaret was listed as a widow in the census record. Sarah was 3 then. I was never able to trace Margaret Connors or Sarah until now! My mother said the Brennans were from County Cork, Ireland. Mary Brennan Funni lived in Sandusky and later moved back to Detroit after the family split up. It was thought Mary stayed with a sister or aunt in Detroit for a while around the 1880's. Did I see somewhere Margaret Connors was mentioned as a Brennan? What source would it be? Thanks if anyone can help.

T.

WOW! Just saw this today... This is good information. I will need to research more! Yes, I do have Sarah O'Connor living in Ontario.

With a name like Sarah O'Connor I thought it would be nearly impossible to track down the correct Sarah!
