Hi
I hope this helps concerning the Irish connection for this family:
"In the 1900 census for Ohio Thomas Halloran is found at 89 Bazetta residing with his wife Sarah J. (nee Kelch) and various children. He is born December 1949, is 50 years old and has been married for 25 years.

He was born in Ireland, as were his parents, and came to the U.S. in 1878. He is employed as a baggage handler for the railroad. The children listed are Kittie, Thomas, Samuel, Robert, Martin and James plus a Mamie Kelsh is shown as a niece.

Additional material was obtained from a family group sheet which was compiled by John L. Cobb in 1974 as a result of his research.

His death certificate, obtained from the research completed by John L. Cobb, confirms his dates of birth/death, location of birth in Ireland and further lists his occupation as baggage master. His father is Michael Holloran (note spelling) and his mother is Nona. The person providing the information was Nora M. Albright of 1976 W. 89St. Thomas resided at 2089 W. 95th. Street on the certificate. He was buried at Calvary Cemetery 21 April 1909.

From the Cleveland Public Library website is found this obituary notice for Thomas H. Halloran:
"Id#: 0131896, Name: Halloran, Thomas H., sr., Date: April 20, 1909, Source: Cemetery record; Cleveland Necrology File, Reel #033. Notes: Halloran-Thomas H., sr., husband of Sarah Halloran, at his residence, 2089 W. 95th st. (old Bazetta), Sunday, April 18, 1909, 12:40 a. m., aged 61 years. Funeral Wednesday a. m., at 9 o'clock standard, from St. Ignatius' church, Lorain ave. 1848 - 1909. Calvary Cemetery Cleveland, Ohio." [Kelch OH407, page 4]"

I am looking for some information on Thomas Halloran who lived in Cleveland and I believe he was still alive in the 60ties. He had a brother John and Patrick (married Margaret Garrity). They were from County Mayo Ireland.

Greeting's from Cleveland, Ohio!

My name is Bridgette Halloran, daughter of Thomas Robert Halloran Jr. and Rosemarie Brown-Halloran. We are - Adrienne Marie, Thomas Robert III, Bridgette (me), Emmett.

(my Grandfather) Thomas Robert Halloran Sr. married Eva Schmitz-Halloran. They had 3 children- Tom Jr. (my dad), Janis and Robert Emmett.

T.R. Halloran Sr. is the son of Robert Emmett Halloran (wife) Elizabeth Kirstein (2nd wife) Hanna (children) Thomas, Arthur. Elizabeth Halloran-Hoban and Eleanor Halloran-Grecol.

Robert Emmett Halloran is the son of Thomas Henry Halloran (wife)Sarah Ann Keolsch

We are dotted all over the West Side of Cleveland.

Thomas Robert Halloran III and Emmett Halloran (my brothers) have no children. Adrienne Marie Halloran-Todd (my sister's) children are Jennifer, Susan, Dana, Daniel Todd, so it is the end of the line for the Halloran's Under my grandfather, T.R. Halloran Sr. I have a daughter, Kyra Nicole Halloran-Cunningham.

T.R. Halloran Sr.'s brother, Arthur, married Josephine and was very prolific (lot's of children) !! Arthur Jr., James, Eileen, Patricia, Mary Lou, Cathleen, Daniel... so the Halloran name goes on there

My Uncle Robert Emmett (son of T.R.Halloran Sr. is T.R.Halloran Jr.'s brother) he had one daughter- Diane Halloran-Six.

There are Grecols from Eleanor Halloran-Grecol (T.R. Sr.'s Sister) and Hoban's from Elizabeth, T.R. Sr's other sister.

Under Elizabeth Halloran-Hoban, there's Georgine Hoban-Scott. Her daughter Carol Scott-Zagarac has a very detailed family tree from Thomas Henry Halloran on down (the Clevelander's)

I hope we can connect and fill in the dot's! there are other's who I haven't listed, but you will find them on our trees.

Kind Regards,
Bridgette Halloran
