Hello all...I am passing along an email received from my cousin John O'Hair in Templemore, County Tipperary, Ireland. Hopefully it will be of use to all......

We are looking forward to your visit!

Yes, feel free to give our e-mail address to Marlene. She might have some info that I don't have. I try to keep every scrap to of O'Hair genealogical information, O'Hairs coming to Ireland might never have made contact with there roots. I am listed with most genealogical contacts here as the Chieftain O'Hair, also with the Irish Council of Chieftains. We not only keep the tree for our family (O'Hair-Hawkins) but the marriage O'Hair-Tribit as well. We have not ever found anyone from the Sara Campbell marriage yet. The marriage was never formally recorded, if it ever did truly exist. There were supposed to have been 4 children and we even have speculated that disease could have taken Sara and all the children. The Campbell's, who had a daughter named Sara, were neighbors and socialised with the Milroy's who held the 7 year bond on Michael when he first arrived in the American Colonies. His bond was recorded in the local court records but not any marriage to Sara Campbell. Many marriages were not recorded in those times. The Hawkins and Tribit marriages were however both recorded.

Best of luck, John.

My sister and I are coming to Ireland in March 2003. We are planning on trying to do some genealogy on the O'hair family line. I would be very interested in knowing how to get in touch with any of the O'hair's living in the Ireland area.

Please e mail me back and let me know what you know!

Thanks so much.

I live in California. Phone number is 559-627-4242

Sharri , can you or your cousin give us any leads as to the parents of Elizabeth Tribbett (Tribit). I've heard that she was an orphan who lived with a 'Mrs Cooper" before marrying Michael O'Hair.

Hi Jane, in the little book by Mr. K.R. O'Hair, he writes, "Elizabeth was born in Virginia in 1768. She came to Kentucky as an orphan with a widow named Cooper. Elizabeth lived with Mrs. Cooper on Green Briar Creek, about four miles south of Mount Sterling, Kentucky." I have not seen any information that would conflict with this. And thanks for the information you have shared. A.M. C.

Anyone who is related to Michael O'Hair:

Please help me "pay it forward"
I was in a thrift shop today (April 16, 2013) and found two books with a mass off information on Michael O'Hair

1. A 'book' of "Michael O'Hair 1749-1813 Soldier Of The Revolution, An Authentic Story Of A Remarkable And Courageous Irish Poineer", by K.R. O'Hair

2. A binder full of history! Pictures, certificates and information!!

The main name listed is O'Hair. The genealogical names listed are:
1.Michael O'Hair, b. 1749
- married Elizabeth Tribbett, b.1768
..2. John T. O'Hair, b.1796
-- married Elizabeth A. Hardwick, b. 1806
...3. Michael Elsberry O'Hair, b. 1829
--- married Sarah Elizabeth Bryant, b.1851
....4. Reba Adele O'Hair, b. 1881
---- married Edward Elliott, b. 1878
.....5. Thelma Lorraine Elliott, b. 1902
----- married Russell Roland Lentz, b. 1904
......6. Mary Elizabeth Lentz, b. 1930
------ married Harold Eugene Kurts, b. 1930

As I said I found these 2 items at a thrift shop!! I want to send these to some family member who will cherish & share this invaluably great information. A lot of research went into it, I would hate to see it be lost to your family!

I have tried to find children of Mary E. Lentz-Kurts, there are none that I have found. No children listed as living for Thelma L. Elliott. Nor did I find any living children of Reba O'hair...

So, first person to contact me, I will send you both of these books. No charge!

As I said, I am paying-it-forward. A very nice lady in Finland sent me a woodburned box to give my father, who has terminal cancer. So, when I came across these 2 items, I felt the need to do something kind for another person.
