Michael O'Hair 1749 erroneously labeled Michael Elsberry O'Hair

I have seen a proliferation of Michael Eslberry O'Hair (1749) entries in family trees.
THIS IS WRONG!!!!!!!!!
I have been researching my 4th great grandfather for 20 years. There is no documentation referring to him as Michael "Elsberry" O'Hair.
There IS a grandson of Michael O'Hair (1749) named Michael Elsberry O'Hair (1829)
16. MICHAEL ELSBERRY3 O'HAIR (John2, Michael1) was born on 22 Feb 1829 in Edgar County, Illinois. He died on 13 Aug 1914 in Coles County, Illinois. He married (1) REBEKAN CATHARINE ZINK on 01 Jun 1856. She was born on 26 Sep 1836. She died on 07 Dec 1873. He married (2) SARAH E.
BRYANT on 14 Oct 1875. She was born in 1851. She died on 11 Jul 1894.

Some one in the past made the mistake and it has been merged off of Ancestry.com over and over again, compounding the error.

Surnames: O'Hair
I find the same problem with the son and grandson of Michael O'Hair and Elizabeth Tribbett O'Hair. I have seen William O'Hair (1807-1864) and his son William (1839-1910)listed as 'senior/junior'. An on-line dictionary defines 'junior' as this: "...usually designating the younger of two men bearing the same full name, as a son named after his father." William the younger does have a middle name of Henderson, as seen in his Civil War pension papers, but nowhere have I seen the elder William with the middle name of Henderson. If anyone has proof that he is a William Henderson O'Hair please contact me so that I may update my records.
