My grandfather, Michael O'Hagan was the youngest of several sons of Patrick O'Hagan of county Tyrone (on the border with Armagh). My great-grandfather Patrick lost his estate to the English invaders, and he sent his sons out of Ireland. Some of the sons went to USA. My grandfather, being only 12 at the time, went to Scotland. I'm wondering if my grandfather is one of the brothers of the Patrick O'Hagan you are looking for?
It would be interesting to know more about your O'Hagan

I wonder if your part of the same clan, but my nanna Margaret O'Hagan (nee) McAleer told me stories of my grandfathers (Richard O'Hagan)farm was taken by the English, He went back to the farm in 1917 met Margaret married in 1919 and moved back to Grangetown England (some trouble with Micheal Collins) Does this sound familiar to any of you O'Hagan's or McAleers ??? Oh I do recall meeting Nelly McAleer one of Margaret McAleer's sisters back in 1970's
