How incredible to hear from you! Your branch of the family is one I have only heard about vaguely and way back, when Granny (Janet) was alive. Sadly, my grandfather Norman Kershaw Leach died before I was born. Francis Falconer explains my father's middle name (Norman Francis); I had no idea at all where Francis came from and neither did my mother. Mystery solved!

I have been somewhat tied up with other things over the last few weeks and so haven't done any further research. I was hoping to track down what happened to Margaret and Janet's brothers Thomas and James and, by extension, to the family business. I had no idea Auntie Margaret (Halahan) was such a mine of information otherwise I would have asked about the family years ago. She is 95 later this year so hopefully we might all be able to meet up at a Birthday party.
