I am looking for family connections to a James Patrick Oflaherty or Treacy. James wife was Mary and his children were John Edward and Katherine. I believe the surname Oflaherty may have belonged to a step-father. James' death is recorded with both surnames as are his two sisters that I have been able to track. They are Helen and Katherine. Katherine was married to a Shea and later to a Decoo. James' mother's maiden name was Connor or O'Connor. I believe she initially married a Treacy and later an Oflaherty. They came from Ireland in 1893 and by 1910, James was in El Monte, California. Please let me know if this is a connection to your family.
