I am looking for information about my great grandmother, Margaret O'Farrell, who came over from Ireland to Virginia. She married William Whittington from England. They settled, I believe, in either Greene or Darke County, Ohio.

I have since discovered that Margaret Ann O'Farrell married John Russell Whittington. Her father was William O'Farrell who came from Ireland as a stowaway. He married Margaret Crawford. I cannot seem to get any more info on William. Is there any help out there?

Do you know anything about a Marcus O'Farrell that would have been in Montana in the late 1800's and early 1900's? Do you know if he is the Marcus O'Farrell listed in the 1870 Nevada Census Index? I'm looking for a Michael O'Farrell that had at least one brother John. They would have arrived in California by the 1890's. Any help from anyone is greatly appreciated.

For those looking for a branch on the O'Farrell Genealogy - there's a whole great big group of us here in Canada. Our ancestor James O'Farrell hailed from County Longford and arrived in Quebec in about 1820. They settled in a village called St. Malachy. We're all spread out now but most Canadian O'Farrells can trace their roots back to St. Malachy, Quebec. Thought you would like to know.
