Hello. I just came upon your message including the Demlow surname. I am researching my husband's family. His mother is Janice Demlow. Her father was Walter Herman Agustus Demlow. His father was Herman Demlow, who was said to have stowed away on a ship from Germany to the USA. This is all the info I have on him. Could this be the Demlow's you are referring to?

Please e-mail me directly and I'll be happy to send you what info I have on this family. You should also contact Carol Kramer as she is a relative and she has more than I do on some other parts of the family.~Stacy

Are any of your Demlows from Champaign Co, IL?

Don't know whether you are still monitoring this message board, but I just now encountered it and found a familiar name. There was a Herman Demlow in my family back in the 1800's in Michigan. Herman married my great- grandmother's sister, Anna Gruber, and they had several children, the only ones I know of being Clarence, Ernest, Arthur and Roy.
