Hi everyone,

I just found out that my adopted grandmother was actually the daughter of a Bernice Marie Ochs of Dayton OH...on the birth certificate the father is listed as Louis Schallenberger (most info shown as "unknown" on certificate).

I understand adoption can be and often was a very sensitive subject for many families. I don't suspect that Bernice and Louis ever married, but I've having great difficulty locating anything about her family. I don't intend to cause any trouble with the information, I would only like to know more about Bernice's line for my own genealogical records.

Bernice Marie Ochs would have been born in around 1896 and gave birth to my grandmother in 1925. Does anyone at all have any information about my great-grandmother or her family? Thank you so much in advance.
