Hi I am to married John Ohol. We are near Niagara Falls. His father is Joseph Ohol, son of Andrew Ohol and Estelle Lopacki. Andrew Ohol's father was also named Joseph Ohol. He was from Scranton PA. My husband, John, has many polish tie in our community. Please contact us for more info!

My great-grandparents were from Gnojnica; their last name was Rojek.

I have relatives named Darlak, Rog, and Ohol/Ochal. We have ties to Niagara Falls, NY and a slight connection to Holyoke, MA (I think) via Agata Kolbusz (maiden name), possibly married to a "Sabastian Ciokosz" and had a son named "Carrol".

My great-great grandmother's sister (Victoria Rojek) married Joseph Ohol. I think he was the son of Peter/Piotr Ohol and Mary Kubik/Kubick. I am related to the Ohols near Niagara Falls, NY.

My grandfather's godmother (also his aunt?) was Regina (Casimiri) Ochab. Her cousin was Joseph Darlak, who lived somewhere near Pittsburgh.

My grandfather's sister, Julia Rymut, married Michael Rog in the early 1900's and I think moved back to Poland.

I would deeply appreciate it if anyone would be so kind as to contact me regarding these names.

My great-great grandmother's sister (Victoria Rojek) married a Joseph Ohol. I think he was the son of Peter Ohol and Mary Kubik/Kubick. I know that I am related to the Ohols in/near Niagara Falls, NY.

I'm looking for any info on my grandpa's family. His mother's name was Mary and his father's name was either Albert or Adalbert Ochal. I hear he had a lot of siblings. He lived in Perry NY and died in the 90's. If you need any more info please message me.

Hello, I just read your post and may be able to help you. I see that Gnojnica is in the same region as my family roots. Literally 5 miles west of the Nockowa Parish region. I have acessed the records from Nockowa Parish for the years 1791-1871 and can tell you that I recognize most of these surnames; specifically Darlak, Rog, Maciolek, Medrygal, and Ochal. Nockowa Parish was responsible for the towns of Nockowa, Iwierzyce, Olimpow, Wiercany, Wisniowa, and Bystrzyca. I have these in my family tree also and can tell you that all of these names, and records, can be found in these towns, all of which are near to each other.

my dad, antoni darlak, came from wiez szkodna, poland. i know that the surnames of macialek, and ochal or in his baptismal certificate. perhaps there is a connection. when he arrived in america he went to chicipee, MA..

Maciolek was my great grandfather and my grandmothers father..micharl maciolek's mother wa agata kubik and his wfe;s name was tekla(1st wife) that is my grandmother's mother. her mothers name was marianny ochal. Tekla the first wife died and he married a mendygral. by mendygral he had children one was nellie who married a darlak by the way one of the darlak boys are alive and live in vegas. one married a pilch her name was victoria .they livve in olyphant pa. hope this helps you .bernadine.

I think I may be related somehow to all these surnames. I know the name Ochal is connected to my grandfather's family. His name was Josef Kubik, he was from Gnojnica, Poland. His father's name was Andrzej Kubik, and his mother was Marya Mendygral.
His first wife was Marya Przywara, whom he married in 1906 in Holyoke, Mass.
I also live in Ny.... though most of my family is from Pennsylvania, Massachussetts.

Hello..I do believe we have a definite connection. All these surnames are in my line as well. As a matter of fact, my grandfather's first wife's maiden name was Przywara!! And they lived right next to Chicopee, Mass. in Holyoke. Please be sure to email me!!!!

Hi, I have been reading these posts, and I think my family is somehow connected to many of you.
My grandfather was Joseph Kubik, from Gnojnica, Poland. His father was Andrzej Kubik and mother, Marya Mendygral.
I know other surnames connected with his family are Darlak, Pilch , Rog, Maciolek and Ochal.
I know he had brances of the family that went to Detroit, Mich. and Niagara Falls, NY.
I would love to hear from any of you who think you may be connected.
Also, his first wife was Mary Pryzwara, whom he married in Holyoke Ma. She died after one year, then he married my grandmother, Apolonia Piekos, they had 3 children in Holyoke then moved to Pa. Mary was also from Gnojnica.

My dad told me that three brothers came over from Poland, one was Piotr, my great-great grandfather, I believe his brothers were Andrzej and Jozef. The named got changed and we're now Ohols. I know we have relatives by the name Ochal in New Jersey, as well as Ochell. Peter married Mary Kubik

My name is Kuba OCHAL, i live in Warsaw Poland. I know that my grandpa Jan lived in Poland. His father Konstanty is from south east of country, near boarder with Ukrain. That's all of my surname history knowledge! So guys HELP me to know anything more.

I have an ancestor named Jean-Baptiste Yokell. I have also found his name spelled Oquel. He married Marie-Catherine Maritn July 3, 1786 in Kamouraska, Quebec.
His father is Andre Oquel and his mother is Josephte Frederic. I have not been able to find ancestors beyond these, yet.
Could this "Oquel" be the source of your surname?

I have some info from my grandma Nora when she was reunited with Aunt Mary. I saw her last summer - she looks not a day over 50 - exactly the same as I remember her.

Hi, I have no doubt that we are somehow related, I am Felix's granddaughter, I just got off the phone with my grandmother (Felix widow) and she knows who you are, Georgiana (or Gee as she is usually known as)is her name. In fact Aunt Mary was just in Hudson where my gram lives visiting her. I have been trying to find info on our family for about a year now and keep coming up empty, with all the kids being seperated when they were young the ties could go on and on. I would love to talk to you regarding our family history. I can give you a whole run down of my family tree, we are all here in New York, and what little info we know.

Nora's father's name was JOhn, mothers name was Mary. Mary died in the early 1920's.
Nora was born in Scranton, PA on Dec8 or 10, 1911. Her brother Felix died in the 1990's. Brother Theodore (aka Teddy) did in the 1940's. Brother Roman died in the 1950's or 1940s. Mary is alive and well in Miami, FL.

My maternal grandmother's maiden name was Ochal, also spelled Ochael by some of the family. She was married to Joseph Pryzwara.
Her first name was Nora. Both of her parents died at a young age from the flu epidemic in the 1910's-1920's. Had a brother who died in Phoenix, AZ at superstitous mountain, looking for gold. Nora and her siblings were sent to different foster homes. She vagley remembered a baby sister, whom she reunited with in the early 1980's, by the name of Mary Concannon. Mary found Nora thru the cemetery records at St. Mary's Cemetry in Queens, NY.
She had a brother Phelix, who resided in FL until his death, a few years ago.
Apparently, at the time of Nora's mothers death, the father had either remarried or the "Nanny"'s name who cared for the children was also Ochal or Ochael. Upon her death was when the children were seperated into foster homes.
Any info would be helpful. Nora's father was from Poland
