O'Callaghans from Kanturk, Cork
I recently obtained my great-grandfather's death certificate from Ireland. I had always thought that he died at home in Killarney, Kerry.
Instead, the certificate reports his death as having occured at the home of William O'Callaghan from Egmont Row, Kanturk, Cork.
My grandfather was Edmond Eager and his wife was Susan (nee Murphy) Eager. Edmond was born in Kerry in 1864 and died in 1924. Susan was born in Cork in 1870 and died in Kerry in 1948.
I'd appreciate any information on William O'Callaghan from Kanturk, Cork.

Re: O'Callaghans from Kanturk, Cork
HI Gerard..
Just wondering if anyone one from the Mallow/Kanturk area have misplaced a few O'Callaghan's. I have a siblings (circa 1840ish) arriving in Queensland. Denis 24, Mary Ann 22 & Annie 20 left Mallow on the 'Maryborough' in 1862. Annie married Joseph Forrest from the Coolbane Townland. They also had a sister who married a Henry Flemming and migrated to the USA. She died in 1907 (no name for her, but a new clipping stating her relationship with Annie & Mary Ann). Annie death Cert has Eugene as her father and Mary Healy or Sheedy as her mother.... Annie & Mary Ann lived up to their deaths in Rockhampton, Queensland. Mary Ann O'Callaghan married Martin O'Neill, publican. Let me know if these name mean anything (to anyone).. Cheers Trish
