I have John H. O'Cain (1841-1903) married to Julia Hester (1840-1928) but show only 2 children: Susie O'Cain and Mae O'Cain.

George G. O'Cain and Winnie were my great- great grandparents also. My Great grandfather was Charles Clanton O'Cain (1843-1919) who married Josephine Barwick (1849-1929). My grandfather was George William O'Cain (1872-1947)and my father was Claude O'Cain. We do not know anything prior to that either. We do live in Madison County, MS and I do have a family tree that I would like to complete.

All we know is that they came here from South Carolina. We did not know that it was Camden, So. Carolina.

Hi. I'm not sure if we're related or not. I've found two lines of O'Cains in SC. One shows up around 1790's and then is continuous to me. I've got another that shows in Orangeburg, SC around 1850/1860 - a Henry Hester O'Cain that was the son of a D. K. O'Cain. I live in Kershaw County. We've been around in SC for at least 200 years. I've got a three inch binder full of "stuff" on O'Cains and have gotten where I enjoy the detective work. For instance, I spent some time this weekend just looking up Spanish-American war material on D. P. and T. A. O'Cain. I'd really love to see some old photos, but other than an old picture of John Wesley O'Cain (circa 1900), I've not found much. I'll share whatever I have if you're interested.

I would love to have more information. I know my grandparents were William and Louisa Leitaker. Both are buried in Forest Grove, MS (not far from Camden). They had 9 children: James Daniel, Ruby, Maggie Lou, Annie Mae, Bill, Sue, Ed, Kelly, and my father Claude. I heard my father talk about Aunt Georgia. I have no clue as to where she was.

I have a branch of family of O'Cain's from Orangeburg, SC. Would love to know more about them. I can only give info on two brothers and two sisters . Raymond, Frank, Annie Laurie and Bertie. Would have been born late 1800's or early 1900's. Thanks

My father's family came from South Carolina. He had several brothers and a sister that settled in Texas by the name of Georgia.
