I am looking for information about my great grandfather, Captain Edward O'Brien (Brien in the marriage register)of Borad Cove (Avondale), married Betsy Wade of Cat's Cove (now Conception Harbour) on1/18/1859.They had 9 children, probably all born in or around Avondale: Bridget (may have been called Nora), Thomas, William, James Francis, Maurice, Lawrence Patrick, Twins: John Thomas (my Great Grandfather) & Mary Alice who died as an infant, and Patrick.
