sorry if you get this twice I got distracted..Thanks again for your reply. In which census did you find these O'Learys?
There was a Daniel O'Leary at Eugene Hickson and Annie Jane Fennessey's wedding in Perce in 1914 (these were my husband's grandparents). Do you think this was your grandfather? Small world.

Hi Carol,
I didn't get those O'Leary's from a census. I had them in my database. They were supplied by my Mom and aunt. The Daniel O'Leary is quite likely my grandfather who would have been 20 at that time since Mom says she remembers references of the Hicksons' when she was growing up at home. She told me that Michael O'Leary's siblings Patrick and Mary lived at the family home with Michael and they never married. Happy New Year.

Interesting set of similarities here for you to consider. While looking for my g.g.grf. Richard & g.grf. Michael Leary's records I found a record of a Michael b. 1826 in Causeway, Co. Kerry to Richard Leary & Anne Dumas. No other children recorded in the St. John the Baptist's parish records in Causeway. This Richard Leary may have remarried a few years later to a Bridget Sullivan, who may have been a widow and there were five more children recorded to them, but no Michael. My g.grf. Michael migrated to Wales during or just after the famine, later to America in 1890. Still no proof if the Causeway Michael & Richard are mine but how much info do you have on Agnes Dumas, when & where born, etc. Thanks.

Don
