The father of Tom Nijboer is Mannus Nijboer born 29-05-1862 in Assen, son of Geert Nijboer and Jantien Vennink, married 09-05-1888 in Assen to Jacobje Grasmeijer born about 1860 in Smilde, daughter of Hendrik Grasmeijer en Jantje Boerma.
Mannus and Jacobje arrived on 05-08-1906 on Ellis Island from Liverpool on the "Celtic".
Tom Nijboer was born in 1906 in Assen

Hello Stephan,

You are searching for Theodore Nyboer, born in Friesland Netherlands around 1895.
I think it is Tjeerd Nijboer born March 21, 1894 in Roordahuizen, Friesland, Netherlands.
He was the son of Klaas Nijboer and Reinou Postma.
Klaas Nijboer and his wife Reinou Postma, and their children Sjoerd Nijboer and Tjeerd Nijboer arrived on March 27, 1911 on Ellis Island with the ship Nieuw Amsterdam from Rotterdam.
Klaas Nijboer changed his name in Claude Nyboer.
Tjeerd changed in Theodore.
Sjoerd changed in Sheahan/Stuart.
I think that Theodore Nyboer married to Jitske (Jessie) Blanksma.

I'm not sure if this is the correct one, but my great-grandfather's name was Gerritt Nyboer. He lived in Holland, Michigan and was married to Alice Sloothaak. He was a prisoner of war in WWI; and died in 1961. I do not have any info for siblingsm, but the document I have states his mother Jacobje Grasmeyer (Grasmeijer) and Mannus Nyboer (Nijboer). They were both born in the Netherlands.

From the threads I have read, it looks like my great-grandfather was the Gerritt Nyboer that was Tom and Jenny's brother.

The info I have put together is that their parents were Mannus Nyboer (Nijboer)born in 1861 and Jacobje Grasmeyer (Grasmeijer) born 8/1/1859 in Smilde, Netherlands. At this time, that is all I have
