I have such limited information on the NUTCHER line. It starts in 1894 with the marriage of my Goble cousin Miriam to a Walter Charles Nutcher, in Alverstoke Gosport, Hampshire. On the 1901 census there is only one child a William Henry born 1895. No more children listed. Maybe they only had the one child, maybe other children were living with relatives? Who knows. What time frame did your May come from. I am really trying to find any Nutchers after 1895 as these would be the ones related to me. Keep in touch, we may find a connection. Regards, Anne.

Do you have any links to Walter Charles Nutcher b.1873 Brockhurst Hamp. who married Miriam Goble in Alverstoke Gosport in 1894. They had a child William b.1895 in Elson, Gosport.

Sorry, but I have not followed my primary Nutcher line later than 1901. I do not know if my Nutchers are related to yours.

I have the following Nutchers. In 1880 Nebraska is John Nutcher b 1832 England who came to US before Civil War and was a CW Vet. . Wife Mary 38 son John 19,dau Mary 14 who married Leslie G Shetler,William 12 who died in Wyoming,Joseph 8,George 4.

William married to Anna M.Clark( she was from Germany) in Wy 1891 and had 2 children Emma b Mar 1893 and William Jr b Sept 1894.The above people were Menonites.
There is a William Nutcher died 1969 in Otoe co,Neb who could be Willam Jr. Anna M. had remarried in 1898 after William Sr died .Her 2nd marriage was to Herbert Baker. She died in 1903 in Neb and he moved on to Washington. Need to find these Nutchers. Pat

My ancestry goes back through the Nutcher line from Twyford, Hampshire. Mary Nutcher is my Great Great Grandmother (born Aug 1, 1833 in Twyford). Mary married George Tizzard from Netley, Hampshire on Jan 29, 1857. Father of Mary Nutcher was Charles Nutcher. Would like to know if anyone has researched the Charles Nutcher family any further.

Sorry, I don't have any information regarding your Grandmother, but I was excited to find there are other Nutchers. My immediate family reside in the US but originally we came from England (in 1970). My grandfather was Leslie Harry Nutcher and came from South Hampton where I understand from my father there are a few Nutchers still there. He had a sister named Marjorie Nutcher but that is all we know. I would love to trace the origins of Nutcher since it is such an unusual name. There are only 35 Nutchers listed as ever living in the US and 5 of them I am related to. LOL! I was wondering if you knew anything about where the name originated? I always believed it was a Scandinavian name but have no evidence of that. I will be happy to pass on any information I come across that could prove useful to you, good luck in your search.
