Byron E. Nussbaum

1912-2002

Byron Edgar Nussbaum, 89, of Pine Bluffs died May 29 in Pine Bluffs.
He was born Nov. 5, 1912, in Pine Bluffs.
He attended school in Pine Bluffs and graduated in 1930.
Mr. Nussbaum married Levera Reher on March 10, 1936, in Cheyenne.
He was a member of Pine Bluffs Methodist Church.
They farmed in the Lindburg area for a time then in 1956 purchased Speetzen Feed and Seed Store in Pine Bluffs, which they operated for 19 years before retiring in 1974. He was also a bus driver for school district 2 for many years.
He loved gardening and always shared his vegetables with friends and relatives. He liked to dance, play baseball, bowl, hunt and was a good basketball player in school.
He is survived by his wife, Elvera Nussbaum; a son, Larry Nussbaum of Pine Bluffs; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. Nussbaum was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Couch Cotrum; his parents, Steven and Cora (Kellum) Nussbaum; a granddaughter; and his brothers.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pine Bluffs Methodist Church with the Rev. Terilynn Russ officiating.

Note: I am of no relation, but my sympathies go out to those of you who are. This is here as a lasting memorial for Mr. Nussbaum.
