Paul S. Nuara Paul Samuel Nuara, age 88, formerly of 1616 Poplar St. passed away Thursday July 24, 2008. He was born May 28, 1920 in North East,Erie, County, Pa. the son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Rizzo) Newara. Paul served Honorably with the U.S. Army during WW II having earned two Bronze Stars. He retired from General Electric in 1980 where he worked for more than 30 years. Paul enjoyed golfing, cooking with his late wife, Esolina, and was a talented stain glass craftsman, among many other craftsman hobbies. He was a member of St. Paul RC Church. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Esolina Marie Nuara who passed away on April 28, 2007; a son Paul T. Nuara; two brothers, Joseph Newara and Anthony Newara and infant sister, Sarah Newara. Paul is survived by two sons; Ronald P. Nuara and his wife Kellie and Michael Nuara and his wife Cindy. Seven grandchildren: Eric Nuara (Nancy), Jason Nuara (Aimee), Paul Nuara, Tina Kovski (Mike), Mark Nuara, Michelle Nuara and Ronnie Nuara, all of Erie. Nine great-grandchildren: Steve, Salina, David, Joey, Ashley, Alexis, Andrew, Nolan, and Nicole and one great-great-grandchild, Aden. He is also survived by six brother; Louis Newara (Grace), Charles Newara (Annie), Raymond Newara (Gwendelyn), Carl “Jerry” Newara (Delores), Robert Newara (Judy), Vincent Newara (Mary Jo) and three sisters; Rose Taylor, Angeline Martina and Shirley Sgarlata (Sam) and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. Sunday from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. and are invited to attend Prayer Services there Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul’s RC Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

I am doing some clean up on our family tree and it was great to fine Paul Newara's information here but I am trying to find out if anyone has Esolina's maiden name. Currently we have her maiden name as unidentified at this time and hoping someone out there may have that information. Thanks in advance.
