I am trying to track my grandmother, Madoline Noad. Her father was Henry Noad who I believe lived in Quebec in 1881 and moved to the US with Madoline about 1894. Henry's father was James S. Noad who was married to Elizabeth and their children were Henry (b. 1862), Arthur (b. 1870), Colin (b. 1872), Gertrude (b. 1874) and Douglas (b. 1876). Madoline had a half sister Thelma who lived in New York then in Florida. Thelma died in 1973. Thelma was born in New York to Henry's second wife, Anna, about 1896. Madoline was married to my grandfather about 1910 and they separated some time after 1920. The family did not have contact with her after that time. Any information would be appreciated.

Hello,

I am also researching the family of Madoline Noad and wonder if you have found anything yet?

We have found a lot. We just haven't found Madeline. She is my mother's mother. My grandfather divorced her about 1925 and there has been nothing but a few pix since. Her father was Henry L.B. Noad (b.1863;d.1935) of Montreal. His parent's were James Street Noad and Elizabeth Smillie. They also had several other children who remained in Canada. Henry traveled to NYC about 1895 with a woman named Anna Cleverly. He was also married in Montreal to an Elizabeth Cooke. We're not sure who Madeline's mother was and suspect that there may have been another woman between Elizabeth and Anna. We have tracked the Noads back to the 1700's and there are no Madeline's. We only know that Madelene was born about 1893 in Montreal. She married Daniel (Donato) Pinto in 1915. She had a half sister Thelma, born in NYC in 1896. If you have any further info we would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Thank-you for answering my message. I have found some things about Ann Cleverly and Henry L B Noad that you may be interested in. Also date of marriage for Madeline to Donato Pinto (perhaps you have that). Would you mind writing to me at my e-mail address? It is s_arslanian@hotmail.com. It would be nice to compare notes.
