Noack Family in Australia
Hi, my name is Dale Noack. I am part of a group of noack families descended from three brothers who emigrated to Australia in the 1850s. I can help people looking for information.

Done know if you're interested but there is actually a Noack, Texas about 2 1/2 hours from Houston close to Taylor, Texas. I'm from that area. One of my relatives, an August Zieschang married Anna Noack, widow of a John Ernest Noack. Anna was born in November 1832 and died October 26, 1912 in Thorndale, Tx. Another relative of mine, Peter Zieschang settled in Noack. He founded the town of Noack and named it for a Mr. Noack, a prominent settler. Peter was August's brother who married the Noack widow. I think that John Ernest Noack is probably the man the town was named after.

I am Cynthia Noack Raney. Anna Zieschang is my gggrandmother. Her husband, Johann Ernst Noack, died in 1877. His death records are on file in the Ebenezer Luthern Church in Lee County. His widow, Anna, married August Zieschang in 1880. This record is also found in the Ebenezer records. I cannot find where her husband Johann Ernst Noack ever lived in Noack. I have family info that she and August moved to Noack but have not determined exactly when. She did have a son named Johann Ernst Noack who took his family to the Thorndale area around the turn of the century from Lee County. I have not tried to determine if he was ever the Postmaster in Noack but I think not. Glad to share additional info.
