Hello all - My third great grandfather, Jacob Niesen, was born in Prussia in 1810. He, his wife Marianne, and his children Arnold, Wilhelm and Cecelia, immigrated to the US in 1864 on the SS Lancaster.

The family settled in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Jacob was a tailor. Arnold died in Ohio; Wilhelm moved to Springfield, Illinois and settled there.
