Darlene, I'm your brother John's daughter in law, and I've been researching our Niesen line. I think I have found John P.'s father in Kenosha, Wisconsin. I'm still trying to verify, but it looks good. His name was Peter and his wife was Catherine Gans or Jans. Both were from Prussia. I found one reference, John and Bertha's daughter Lizzie's marriage to Reinhold Rips, that said she was born in Kenosha. As I say, I'm still on that to make a firm connection, but it looks very probable right now. Len
