I know that my great-greatgrandparent came from Tenn to Kennett, Missouri sometime around 1870 are a little before that I known my great grandfather Alford was born here on oct 12,1870 and passaway on May 31,1948 his father was Enoch floyd born on Jan. 13,1836 in Tenn he passaway on Oc. 17,1888 in Kennett,Mo. His wife name was Ava I don't know any more on her then her name, I know that in the 1880 cenus that his wife name was listed as Caroline Floyd, and a step-son William Horton was listed being born in the same year as my great grand father Alford. Enoch & Ava had five son togetherthree whic were born in Tenn and the two in Ark/ Mo, which was one in the same around that time. Ava birthplace is listed as South Caroline. I know that she died between 1870 & 1880 but haven't found any thing on her birth or death as well as Caroline Floyd ( Enoch headstone listed his last name spelled as Floyed) But his Son Thomas last name is spelled Floyd on his and he died Dec. 14,1893 I am not sure if the spelling was change are it was an mistake the headstone If you have any info on Enoch & Ava Floyd(floyed) please let me know. There are a lot of the Floyd Family living in Mo. I hope you can help me and I hope this may be of some help to you , also my Father who name was also Enoch said he was told by his grandfather that he had a second or thrid couson bye the name of Charles Aurath Floyd ,but they move on farther west of her Olk. I think.
