I too think that more information could be gathered if there was more information on the sister. I did take a closer look at the death certificate I have on him in my tree and it says his birth year was 1871 not 1878 as i though, and that my great grandmother Fannie Mae Horton Wiggins signed it.

Jessica, it's funny because I was just working on that line this morning. Sadly though, I still don't know much more than I did when I posted this a long time ago. But I have some hunches that I will be working on. I will gladly share anything I have or find. Also I would love any pictures that you may have. Roy Nichols Wiggins would have been my Step Dad's (Jerry Wayne Nichols) uncle. What I do know is Thomas "Tom" Nichols was not a very good man. Apparently he was a drunk and beat his wives. Fortunately for Sarah Elizabeth Sunday and Sophia Wiggins they had families that cared about them and helped them get out of a bad marriage.

My great grandfather on my mother's side was Roy Landra Nichols Wiggins. His father was Thomas H. Nichols and his mother Sophia Wiggins. My grandfather knows very very little about that side of the family since Sophia's parents changed their names. If you have found any additional information regarding Thomas H. Nichols (b. 1878 in Alabama), then I would be very grateful.

Ronald Layheer Nichols is my grandfather.

I am looking for the family of Thomas H. Nichols (b. 1878 AL. d. 1944 TX) He appears for the first time on the 1900 Montgomery Co. TX census and lived out is life there. His sister was Eliza Callie Nichols (b. Nov. 1870 AL and d.aft. 1930 TX) She married Frank P. Raleigh also from AL. I know they married around 1895. They first showed up in TX on the 1900 census in Montgomery Co. TX. Eliza and Frank had no children. Thomas H. (Tom) married Sarah Elizabeth Sunday on 9-28-1902 Mont. Co. TX. They had one son, Lee Smith Nichols b. 1905. Shortly after Lee was born, Thomas abandoned his family. He later married Sophia Wiggins also in Montgomery Co. TX. and they had 3-4 children. Apparently Tom was a drunk, after a few years of marriage, Sophia's father took her and her children home with him and had the childrens name changed to WIGGINS.

Although Tom H. Nichols appears to have been a worthless old goat and did not support his children, this is the family surname and I would very much like to have the background on it.

Any small bit of info would be of help.

I am looking for family informaiton on John Nicols, all I know is that he was the founder of the Nichols and Shepherd Theshing Company in Battle Creek Michigan, I believe my grandfather is part of this line, but I can't find any information on them, my grandfather was Frank E Nichols born May 1855, and Married Cynthia Wilder who was born on Aug 1871

He had a sister named Ruth Davis (married name) who had one child that I know of. I don't have any information on the child or on Ruth Davis except for the name. Shelby Nichols was the father of my grandmother Geneva Nichols she was born in 1940 in Fulton, Texas. Geneva's mother was Rosie Lee Owens. Ann Nichols, b. 1812, France (British Subject)

According to 1851 and 1871 censuses, Ann(e) Nichols was born in France as a British Subject in 1812.

I do know that she married William Cowley in Newbold Pacey, Warwickshire, England in 1836, and they had a son, Joseph Cowley in Donington, Glouscestershire in 1848. She died in 1888.

If anyone can help me find information on Ann's birth, or who her father may of been, it would be appreciated.

I am searching for information on my great grandfather Charles Wesley Nichols married Olive C. Winters. Their 10th child, my grandfather, Clarence Wesley Nichols was born in Pellston, 1909 - I found their names on the Pellston census - states there were 10 children with 8 living.

I dont know when they moved but eventually, moved to Flint Michgian where Charles worked for Buick until his death, Feb.1, 1920. I have no information on why he committed suicide, but if anyone knows, that infomation would also be more greatly appreciated.

Olive is suppose to be an Ottawa Indian, but I have to records of her at all. Just a photograph of her and my great grandfather holding my grandfather; which I have attached to this message.
