I am looking for the family of Thomas H. Nichols (b. 1878 AL. d. 1944 TX) He appears for the first time on the 1900 Montgomery Co. TX census and lived out is life there. His sister was Eliza Callie Nichols (b. Nov. 1870 AL and d.aft. 1930 TX) She married Frank P. Raleigh also from AL. I know they married around 1895. They first showed up in TX on the 1900 census in Montgomery Co. TX. Eliza and Frank had no children. Thomas H. (Tom) married Sarah Elizabeth Sunday on 9-28-1902 Mont. Co. TX. They had one son, Lee Smith Nichols b. 1905. Shortly after Lee was born, Thomas abandoned his family. He later married Sophia Wiggins also in Montgomery Co. TX. and they had 3-4 children. Apparently Tom was a drunk, after a few years of marriage, Sophia's father took her and her children home with him and had the childrens name changed to WIGGINS.

Although Tom H. Nichols appears to have been a worthless old goat and did not support his children, this is the family surname and I would very much like to have the background on it.
