Again thanks for the additional information. Lane End would be the right address as Bertha's family came from Lane End, West Dean. The PREECE and ROBERTS families also have connexions within the extended KEARSEY family - so that again fits - also the KEARSEY'S have many connexions to Cheltenham. One only needs to search the censuses of Cheltenham for KEARSEY to see that. It is highly likely that both families knew each other back in Cheltenham.

I've looked at your site, but don't have win-zip on my computer to open up the files - although I do own a copy, but where that is, is anyone's guess - considering the state of my office. I'm having a big clean up soon, with any luck will find it.

I fully understand the restrictions associated with the purchase of certificates - best avoided where possible.

And yes it does seem strange that with such a big family there is nobody left to carrying the surname of NIBLETT.
