I am a sixth generation descendant of Joseph Newbrough (born c.1760 West Virginia, died c 1824 in Brookeville,IN) and his wife Sarah Hayhurst.

I am looking for information on the parents of either Sarah or Joseph. I am also interested in finding out when the Newbroughs may have come to America from England. Was the surname originally listed as Newberry in the colonies?
