Looking for family Joseph was born around 1873-75 in Canada. G Grandfather. Grandmother believe he died in Arkansas around 1908 or 1910.

According to information researched by my cousin, Joseph Barley Nesbitt, son of Samuel Nesbitt and Elizabeth McConkey, grandson of John and Elizabeth Nesbitt (all of Ireland) were in the Toronto, Canada area. The DOB she lists for Joseph Barley Nesbitt is Jan 17, 1872, Born in Toronto, Canada. No death information is on the record. I am descended from his sister, Frances Louise Nesbitt, m. James McCrea, also of Ireland via Canada. Some of the siblings of Frances Louise also settled in Arkansas, including John and Alexander Nesbitt

Joe and Daisy Agnes Body were married in Pawnee Co., OK in 1898 or 1899. 3 children were born to them in Pawnee Co., OK, USA. 1. Myrtle May Nesbitt (Coburn)b Jan 28, 1900 in Terltown, OK 2. Ivy Mae b Dec 16, 1902 near Jennings Ok 3. Raymond Ralph b Aug 25, 1904 near Jennings, OK. They moved to Powers Co., Colorado to homestead south of Holly,CO. in Nov 1904. abandoned his wife, Daisy Agnes Body sometime between 1904 and 1907. In review grandmothers notes to me at one time she said that her Grandfather died in late 1902 or 1903 in Ft Smith Arkansas. She had no contact with the Nesbitt family after that. Daisy divorced Joe Nesbitt in Lamar Colorado in 1907. She the married James V Coburn in Lakin, KS April 8, 1909. Joseph Barley Bailey was my great grandfather. I have the same birthdate for him as you do Judy but have him born in Ireland. But I know that they were in Canada for a period of time before they came to Arkansas. My Grandfather was Thoma Leonard Nesbitt. My father was Raymond F. Nesbitt, he was in the Army and we traveled alot. I remember visiting some Nesbitts who lived in Little Rock but do not remember who they were.

I have a marriage certificate that shows that he married Mosell Mantooth in Franklin County Arkansas on October 1909.
