I am looking for information on Samuel Nesbit b.1754 d.1814 near Cynthiana Kentucky. Samuel is my g,g,g,g,grandfather. Family stories always tied our ancestors back to the Nesbit clan near Duns Scotland - possibly going to Ireland first then America. But I have not been able to find information on where Samuel was born or his parents names. Does anyone have information that might help me locate Samuel's ancestry? Samuel was married to Mary Berry. James Garrett Nesbit is the son of James and Hannah. James Garrett married Dorcas Bishop. Their daughter Martha Rawlston Nesbit b.1850 d.1926 married William Montgomery. Their daughter Floral Montgomery b.1888 d.196? married Percy Corwin Fisher b.1884 d.1966. Their son James Edward Fisher b.1927 married T. Jeanne Agee in 1950. I'm their daughter.
