I'm a Nelson. My grandparents(dads)were both born in Finland. I've been told over and over again that Nelson is not a Finnish name. I wonder if other Nelsons that may have been born in Finland have run into this. I als wonder if maybe back prior to my great grandfather(who was born in Finland) if maybe his family had moved to Finland from Sweeden etc? Mine were from Kiviarik(check spelling it was in the Vaasa area).

I'd like to hear from other Nelsons that were born in or whose ancesters were born in Finland and or Sweeden.
My grandmothers maiden name was Piispanen.

Any from MA would be particularly interest to me.
