I am a Nelson from Magnet, NE. My dad had a cousin near Red Oak or in that area whose name was Dorothy Nelson. My grandparents came to NE from Shanndoah IA in the late 1800. I have one aunt that is still alive and she is 96 and lives in a nursing home in Oakland, NE Her name is Edna Nelson(Alexson. I do know that her son-in-law was writing a book about the family several years ago.
