I am looking for information on a Bridgit/Brigit Nefsey/Neafsey who was married to a Edward Regan(1844-1976) and who had a daughter named Ann Regan.

My ggrandmother was Sarah Nefsy. She was born in Wisconsin and her parents Dan Nefsy and Ann Whalen were both born in Ireland. Their name was also changed when they came to America in 1840. I have more regarding Ireland. Possibly these two families have a common basis.

Hi, I am also searching for informaton on the Nefsy-Nefcy family. My greatgrandfather Bernard Nefcy was born in Canada. His parents were from maybe County Galway, Ireland. Immigration people changed the name spelling. Any relation to you? Do you know where your family was from? Oh, Bernard came from a family of 9 children, some of whom stayed in Ontario. He went to PA.
