Hello, Brenda! So nice to hear from you! I am Susan Clark Neese. My husband is the Neese, but I have been researching this family for about 30 years. What is your husband's name? If he is correct, and his grandfather was Charles Otto Neese (1900-1990), who married Maudine Waltman (1907-1996),then Julius Neese, b. 1862, was not Charles' grandfather. The only Julius Neese (1866-1929) we have in our family line was the son of John Thomas Neese (1833-1924), who married Martha Keeley (1839-1910). John Thomas was also the father of Emmitt Edward Neese (1863-1924) by a previous relationship. Emmitt was my husband's ancestor. Here is the ancestry of your Charles Otto Neese: Charles Otto Neese (1900-1990) was the son of James Franklin Neese (1873-1940) and Laura Elizabeth Broom (abt 1880-abt 1905). James Franklin Neese (1854-1895) was the son of Jacob Franklin Neese (1854-1895) and Harriet E. Adams (abt 1855-bef 1880). James Franklin Neese was a twin to Samuel Davis Neese (1873-1961). Jacob Franklin Neese was a younger brother of John Thomas Neese. Both Jacob Franklin and John Thomas Neese were sons of Davis Neese (1804-bef 1870) and Margaret Neese (1815-aft 1893). Davis and Margaret were first cousins. The information you have on the Julius Neese who married a Margaret Scarborough may be correct, but they are not your husband's ancestors. If you would like more information, please email me at sjneese@yahoo.com and I will send you a more complete genealogy report. Please provide information in the email about your husband: his full name, date and place of birth, and the full names of his father and mother (including her maiden name). I would also be very interested in looking at the marriage record you found for a Julius Neese marrying a Margaret Scarborough. Can you tell me how to find it online? I think I will be able to help you a lot with your husband's ancestry. Looking forward to hearing from you. Susan Neese
